PERFORMANCE PSYCHOLOGIST
With a childhood spent in the UK then twenty years in Australia, Miranda continues to indulge her passion for working with motivated individuals to help them achieve their goals in life, business or sport. Starting as a performance psychologist with some of Australia's top Olympic and professional athletes, she developed plans with them to help them achieve both life balance as well as sporting success. With clients as varied as Australian Rugby to Queensland Ballet, she quickly developed a profile as an effective performance coach and has been invited to lecture at universities all Australia, Canada and the UK. Although with a client-base in sport, Miranda discovered that the same principles for achievement in sport applied to success in business and also to what we wish to achieve in life. To this effect, she became the expert and resident psychologist for Brisbane's talkback radio, providing an advisory service for personal and career development, managing wellbeing and relationships. In 2007, Wiley & Sons published her first book, "Fitter, Faster, Stronger, Smarter: Training for the performance of life" and she was contracted to the Queensland Government to run workshops across the State on high performance topics.
In 2008, she returned to her native England and has since split her time between sports performance psychology - for Bath Rugby Club, the England Polo Team and various individual athletes; business performance psychology - for high profile senior management and those with their own small to medium business; and life performance psychology - for those clients who wish to take their life from good to great. She is also working on her second book which looks at how to develop "Presence" - exuding energy for purpose in situations from work to home to play.
